What do you do when you break one of a pair?

Turn it into a post card holder, of course!

And once you make one, you have to make another!

Have a Sweet Day!!!!

Serendipity . . . . . .

My sweet friend from dropped off this beautifully wrapped gift to me on my birthday. She used seam binding in place of ribbon and tied a vintage piece of a jewelry (possibly an old pin) to the top of the gift. It was so beautiful I didn't want to open it. So, I decided to create a necklace out of the gift embellishment. I loved how adorable it turned out and the simplicity of the necklace. I wore it out and received so many complements. She also gave me two rolls of seam binding since, she has found a million ways to use it and thought I could come up with a few of my own. So, I did. I made another necklace out of a random piece of colored glass and wire. I am so in love with the simplicity of these ribbon necklaces that I hope to make a whole bunch more. The bonus is that ribbon necklaces are the rage right now!

Dress Up For Big Girls and Small

I found this idea in Country Sampler magazine and I just loved it. For some unkown reason, I have a thing for old ladders. My daughter has several friends over today and they are stuck in side due to the snow so, I used this idea to create a place to display their dress up and accessories. They loved it so much she wants me to keep it in her room however, she did request that I paint the ladder a fun color like hot pink! (I of course, love the old worn rustic look of the ladder and would not change a thing!) I think I need one for myself!!
