What is it about old black and white photos? I seem to have an obsession with them. I am always thinking of fun and unique ways to display them and that is where this project came from. I took an old vintage frame and attached twine horizontally. Then, I just clipped the simple old photos onto the twine with clothes pins. I love the way it turned out and it's defiinitely one of those projects that looks better in person. I just couldn't seem to get a good photo of the project but hopefully, it will still inspire you in some way. Enjoy and take care!
That looks wonderful! I have tons of old photos that I need to do something with.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea!
ReplyDeleteSuper cool idea-great alternative to framing them.

sah-sweet!
ReplyDeleteI love this idea! There really is nothing like an old photo that's stood the test of time. Often, I get sad when I see discarded photos in antique shops but this is such a great way to bring these photos back to life!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I instantly thought how great it would look with a variety of my daughter's wedding photos. Thanks for the wonderful idea!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea with the picture frame. What a fabulous black wall candle holder, love it.

Cute picture frame photo holder. Love that! And what a cute coffee filter banner with the letters attached. Very fun!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your sweet comment about my daughter! It's nice to meet you! Love your blog!
XOXO

So pretty, I can't get enough of old pictures! The frame looks lovely!
ReplyDeletethis would work if you were to make copies - unless you don't care about the "old pictures" you could pick some up at garage sales- they call them "Instant ancestors"
ReplyDeleteBut I would never do this with an original.
My name is Denise Matteau. I sold high quality antiques online for years until a vigilante group had me banned from eBay for exposing eBay as the cult that it is. It's a scheme whereby the rich get richer and the poor artists like myself end up eating their own birds seeds to survive. Yes, you bastards might laugh at me but this is what eBay did to me. My point here is that do not sell anything on eBay as it supports terrorists. You can thank anti Americans like Canadians and Australians for the disaster that the jihad terrorists have on us now. Here in Texas, we are alarming our homes. I have run car batteries to my windows with a sign posted saying you are about to feel a world of hurt unless you run fast and I mean get gone sucker. So far the neighborhood is a few cats down which is a plus too. I feel that if terrorists and Jehovah Witnesses feel they can invade my area then I have a right to give them a little shock back into my reality. My cousin was recently kidnapped by the CIA who tried to extract a confession out of him over my work bad in the 60's where I was an anarchist. Now that the Antichrist himself is here in the form of Obama I believe we can only arm ourselves against the Canadians who are sending people here to Texas to follow me. There is a woman named Susan Smith Summers who I believe is involved in a sexual relationship with Jimmy Swaggart as she had mentioned her admiration for him many many times, well this woman was here in Texas last week following me in a green 1972 VW bug. Jihad against Canadians is the solution and you can find more answers on my blog freedomissacred. I am accepting donations as they stole my laptop when I was in church last weekend in order to silence me. I am forced now to borrow a laptop from our church office and also to resort to Internet cafes which I notice are filled with coloreds and drug dealers. I am willing to take the risk to support my beliefs. I am a seriously disabled woman and any working capital I can collect will go towards feeding me as I work to expose the evil schemes and plans of the Canadians and Australians. Canada has a underworld run by lawyers in British Columbia and I have been stalked by 17 different men since meeting this Susan Smith Summers who I expect is a transgender.
ReplyDeleteHi there, I sell vintage photos, I would love to be able to use your photo collection as an example on my listings of a creative way to display vintage photos - I could add a credit to the photo with Photoshop no problem. Drop me a line at vintagegoodness at gmail.com - thanks! :)
