Gift Box Turned Christmas Ornament

I went shopping tonight and found this Christmas ornament that made me swoon. I thought, I can do that. So I dug out a small gift box, a few Christmas cards, paint, and some glitter of course and started playing around.

These were super fun to make. I think I am going to have to make a few more!

Seeking The Perfect Wreath . . .

Dear Santa, all I want for Christmas is a wreath for my front door. I needed two wreaths, one for mymantel and one for the front door. So, I cheated. For above the mantel, I went semi homemade. I used a store bought wreath and embellished it. (not to bad) Now, I am desperately trying to find the perfect wreath for my red front door. I made one last year and I just wasn't happy with the way it turned out so I look to the web for some inspiration and . . . . .
My Mantel (work in progress)

Here are a few of the beautiful/inspiring wreaths that I found from County Living Magazine.

This is the one I plan to recreate. . . .wish me luck!!!

A Fun and Functional Way to Recycle Old Christmas Cards

If you are like me, you hate to throw away all of those beautiful Christmas cards that you receive each year from all of your friends and love ones. I thought why not recycle them into gift tags. It is simple, easy, and fun. If you have a pair of scissors, some ribbon, and some glue you are all set to make own one of kind gift tags.

Hope you feel inspired!!
